This project is open to collaboration and supported by the PECA funding from the Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles.

‘Blossom Flowers’ is a poetic journey in urban green oases, through the eyes of children and their magical nature universe.

The project is an ongoing collaboration and art residency with children from elementary schools in Brussels, reflecting on and experimenting with ways of connecting with the forest through the lens. It started as a reaction to a stark reality: one in two children in Brussels rarely or never visits the forest (according to local NGOs Goodplanet and Paper Chain Forum).

Drawing on Eric Gottesman's Sudden Flowers, this collaborative project combines photovoice - a participatory method where children document their own perspective - and forest bathing, a practice of mindful immersion in nature. Together, these approaches aim to connect children with their environment through contemplation, making visible the importance of nature in their growth, development, and creativity.
